Great Customer Service Starts With The Little Things




  Over the last few years, while working for Rent A Space, I have been fortunate to see customers come and go, and share the chapters with me that open and close on important parts of their lives. As managers, we quite often develop a bond with customers that leads to them coming back time after time or sending their friends to see us, as a result of the great customer service we give them.

And with these returning customers, we are more often than not told that it is “the little things” that have brought them to Rent A Space, whether for the first time or as a returning customer.

As a manager of a storage facility, I often talk to people in what can be a very stressful time in their life. 

Whatever the reason, I make it my goal that when they begin the journey of storing their belongings with Rent a Space, they are made to feel comfortable and enjoy the peace of mind that comes with storing with us. As managers, we all do our best to make sure that our customers continue to feel like they have made the right choice in storing with us.

Sure we have our truck and driver service or the trailer hire, we keep our sites clean and bright, but it’s more than that.

Great customer service is the greeting our customers receive from the first time we say hello on the phone to the warm smile we offer when they arrive in the store. There’s always a tea or coffee to be had in the office, and our team will always take the time to listen to our customers.

Yes, we do have boxes and tape and everything you need to move your goods or store them safely, but we will also take the time to load them into your car, you can even call ahead and we’ll have them ready and waiting for you.

Your peace of mind is just the start

We see people who are usually in a stressful time of their lives, but we also take the time to make sure that we can help them find a solution, the answers that they came to us looking for and the peace of mind in knowing that Rent a Space was the right choice for them.

I love the fact that customers have taught me a few tricks about storing things along the way, and I’m happy to pass them on to new customers. Some of the tips these customers have passed along are great.

And what makes me so certain that Rent a Space can do all of this for our customers and it’s one of the things that we do best?

Well I was on the other side of that counter a few years ago as a stressed out customer looking for answers and guess what…
