Each of our 13 stores has one or two store managers, depending on their size and how busy the sites are. A store manager’s role is all encompassing. It involves every aspect of the business, from day to day administrative duties to site maintenance, daily reconciliation, and, most importantly, sales. You must have the ability to work on your own and as a team.
This role encompasses all aspects of a store manager role, but requires more flexibility in that your day to day store location varies. We try to ensure that we keep our relief staff at stores that are located within easy driving distance of one another.
The role is predominantly sales and customer service driven. Our call-centre operates from our West Ryde facility. They receive the bulk of our initial inquiries and provide our customers with the best size and location for their storage needs, as well as educating potential customers to the benefits and convenience of choosing Rent A Space to store their goods. Staff also take calls from existing customers and assist them with any information they may need and questions they may have.
Rent A Space offers a Free Truck and Driver Move in service. This service is available to customers in the Sydney area to help them move their goods into our facilities. It is available 7 days a week. The role does not include assisting our customer to load or unload their goods. Our drivers are an integral part of Rent A Space as they are often the first face from the company that a customer will speak to and, therefore, excellent presentation and customer service is imperative.
