How many moving boxes do I need?
A rough guide only. Your belongings, and how much you pack in each box, will change the numbers.

Do I need to choose a location to see what you sell?
No. You can browse the whole range first. Choose your nearest site to see what is in stock there. You need a site selected to add items to your cart, because stock is held at each site.
How does click and collect work?
Choose your site, add items to your cart and pay securely online. We will email you when your order is ready, then collect it from the site you selected. Please bring your order confirmation.
Do you deliver?
Not at the moment. The Box Shop is click and collect only, so you pick up your order from the Rent a Space site you choose at checkout.
Can I collect from any Rent a Space site?
Yes, from any site that shows your items in stock. Stock is held separately at each site, so availability can differ from site to site.
What if my site is out of stock?
Items that are not available at your chosen site are marked and cannot be added. Try another nearby site, or call us on 8758 0000 and we will help you find what you need.
How many boxes will I need to move?
As a guide, a 1 bedroom home needs about 10 to 20 boxes and a 3 bedroom home about 30 to 50. Our moving packs are sized by bedroom count to take the guesswork out. See the packing guide above.
What is in each moving pack?
Each 1 to 4 bedroom pack bundles boxes, packing tape and packing paper, sized to your home. The contents are listed on each pack, and every pack costs less than buying the same items separately.
Which boxes are best for storage and which for moving?
Use sturdy, uniform boxes you can stack. Pack heavy items like books in small boxes, and lighter items in medium or large boxes. Label every box with its room and contents so they are easy to find in your unit.
Can I collect my boxes when I move into a storage unit?
Yes. Order online and collect your boxes from the site where your unit is when you move in, or on any day before.
Is it safe to pay online?
Yes. Checkout is encrypted and your card details are handled by our payment provider, not stored on our website. See the security details in your cart.
Can I use a coupon code on top of the advertised discounts?

Can I recycle the boxes after my move?
Yes. Cardboard boxes can be flattened and put in your kerbside recycling bin, or reused for your next move.
What should I use to protect furniture and mattresses in storage?
Furniture covers and mattress bags keep dust and moisture off. Avoid wrapping timber or leather tightly in plastic, which can trap moisture.
